Liberals are trumpeting the line that Republican sinners are hypocrites. There's safety here since it's almost impossible to call a Democrat a hypocrite since they don't stand for anything. How can you get into trouble with a 'live and let live' agenda? Republicans push for family values legislation and vote for family values legislation, and Dems do not. Democrats don't want to judge anyone on anything, everything goes from gay sex to gay marriage to gay adoption to gay North American Man-Boy Love Association sex (NAMBLA is a strong supporter of the Democrat Party).
Democrats can bugger male pages (Studds), run a male prostitution ring out of their apartment (Frank), appoint a Supreme Court Justice who in 1978 while working for the ACLU wrote a paper advocating for the age of consent to be lowered to 12 (Bader Ginsburg), but you can't call them hypocrites!
I am only noting the homosexual agenda because it's in
the news now that Mark Foley has announced he's gay. But to stew in anger on Election Day by staying home belies rationale that Republicans don't have a leg up on
Democrats when it comes to 'family values'.
Republican politicians have never campaigned on the slogan "Vote for me, I'm holier than my opponent." That's why the Catholic Church has confessionals.
Rather, their message is that the Republican AGENDA is better. That agenda would include legislating and voting for traditional family values. While Mark Foley's voting record was not conservative (ACU rating of 74), it was still better than the average Democrats which is about an 8.
Ergo, more conservative, traditional laws were passed
and kids are safer and traditional families more
secure than having an '8' Democrat voting in his
seat. If a Christian Republican sins, it doesn't change his voting record and the subsequent good it has done. It's not what they say, or even how they act. It's how they vote. Give me a Republican 'hypocrite', any day.
