Schwarzenegger, the new Chris Farley

Chris Farley: Remember when you were with the Beatles and you were supposed to be dead, and there were all these clues, like you play some song backwards and it'd say, like "Paul is Dead" and everybody thought you were dead and, um, that was a hoax right?
Paul McCartney: Yeah, I wasn't really dead.

Um, remember way back in 2006 when California
Governor Schwarzenegger, announced "We daringly led the way for the high-tech industry, and now voters can help ensure we lead the way for the biotech industry"?  Californians went on to vote themselves a tax to the tune of $3 billion dollars over the next ten years to fund human embryonic stem cell research, something venture capitalists call 'a rat hole'.

Governor Schwarzenegger said that Proposition 71 would be a "boon" to the biotechnology industry in California.  18 months later, the headlines read 'Schwarzenegger Budget Cuts Schools, Frees Inmates'
SACRAMENTO (CBS 5 / AP / BCN)

With his economy a bust, someone should ask Awnold if that tax money is still going to embryonic research, which has also proven to be a bust, or will he divert it toward keeping thugs in jail, streets paved, and schools open.  Maybe Californians will vote for another 10 billion dollar tax to make sure that Christopher Reeve really does "get up out of that wheelchair and walk again" as then V.P. candidate John Edwards spouted back in 2004, 3 days after Reeve's death.  Come on, California, show us you really care!
