An international 'research' effort to find a vaccine against the Aids virus, has not only failed miserably but has increased the chance of the homosexual guinea pigs to contract Aids. The article states that 'It is a massive blow to Aids research, which has ground to a halt. Hailed as major breakthroughs when the tests began'...wait, what?? Hailed as a major breakthrough when the test began?? Now that's chutzpa!
The study involved male homosexuals in North and South America, the Caribbean and Australia. 'Results from both trials, which cost about £16million, suggested that people were twice as likely to become infected after having the vaccine.'
"None of the products currently in the pipeline has any reasonable chance of being effective in field trials" a researcher says...now. "We simply do not know at the present time how to design a vaccine that will be effective against HIV" says another....now. "We can't afford any more trials like this. We have to stop and reassess and recommit to basic science, or people will begin to lose faith." Recommit to basic science? What were they committed to before, global warming? "I do think that what happened in this trial is an example of scientists blindly rushing into dangerous things." Oh well, they were just homosexuals. On to the next experiment!!
These scientists had no comment on blindly rushing into global warming or embryonic stem cell research. After all, these were only homosexuals.
'The US government alone pumps £250million a year into research to try to find a "Holy Grail" vaccine which would put an end to Aids.' But don't worry about any reassessment on wasting your tax dollars down this rat hole, 'The US National Institutes of Health, which funded both programmes, is holding a crisis meeting next week." The title of the conference is "The Audacity of Hope: Building trust in the homosexual community'.
Here's a complete update to the conference (note the headline of the article). The pull quote is this - 'He said that one outcome of the meeting was a refocusing of the vaccine effort away from expensive clinical trials {that infect and kill homosexuals} towards more fundamental research to understand the basic biology of the virus and its effects on the human immune system.' Great! So over lunch and cocktails, these compassionate research grant recipients decided to "About Face!!" after 20 years and hundreds of millions of dollars and just kinda check out trying to understand the basic biology before we infect anyone else. Notice there was no comment on the homosexuals they infected. Oh well, they were just homosexuals. Maudie wonders if Catholic embryonic stem cell research supporters might, just might, glean anything from this fiasco. Oh well, it's just a fetus, and they might find a cure for something while churning through all the babies over the next 20 years. Pope Benedict is so passe'.
