"Quick, we need someone in the position of Health and Human Services Secretary!" So was the
clarion cry from Bob Casey the self proclaimed 'pro-life' senator from Ohio. Casey spokesman Larry Smar said the senator believed it would be irresponsible to leave the health position vacant. "He disagrees with her on abortion, but feels that she has the required expertise to help pass health care reform and provide health care to the uninsured _ one of our country's top priorities."
Casey supported the super charged pro-abortion Barack Obama, now Sebelius. Obama favored partial birth abortion and as an Illinois legislator, voted against a bill protecting babies that actually survived late-term abortions; Sebelius is a rabid proabortion proponent and recipient of cash from late term Kansas abortionist, George Tiller.
Sending a self proclaimed 'pro-life' Democrat like Casey (or Landrieu in LA) to Washington serves only to ensure Democrats are the majority party controlling Congress with their dominant anti life agenda. Likewise, sending Obama to the White House to appoint more liberal judges to the Supreme Court will serve to facilitate more abortion and continue Roe v Wade for another three decades.
As Maudie has
written, Casey's priorities over the life thingy are socializing health care and 'fixing' our economy. The economy was a desperate priority of voters in the Weimar Republic of Germany after WWI. Using his logic, it can be argued that the good German people had more reason to accept the extermination of 6 million Jews as a price for fixing their economy than Casey has by enabling his party's agenda of the next 50 million dead babies as a price for 'fixing' ours.
What is Senator Casey's opinion of the bishops who protected the homosexual priests that preyed on young boys? The bishops obviously felt that while being against homosexual pedophilia themselves, "You need...someone who you think can deal with a whole set of broad-based challenges" to quote Casey. Evidently, the good works these priests performed outweighed any disagreements the Bishops may have had on one or two issues of their pedophilia.
A simple question, Senator. You say Roe v Wade should be overturned. You've supported Obama, now Sebelius. Next, will you support any of Obama's nominees for the Supreme Court, all of whom will secure Roe? Or will that too, fall under the "any delay in the vacancy would be irresponsible" category? Like so many others, Senator Casey, you are a phony Catholic. Senator Casey has his priorities, God has His.
