As Maudie's good friend Lowell Ponte noted some years ago, "As economists (and Obama) who advocate Big Government are increasingly forced to acknowledge, the main difference in practice between the economics of Karl Marx and Adolf Hitler is that Hitler was smarter than Marx. Both philosophies are monstrously evil and anti-human, of course, but by using hyper-regulation rather than expropriation of the means of production, Hitler could collect property and income taxes from the producers while Marx could not."
