Democrats and their kind: progressive, communist, liberal, socialist, black liberation, confused, insecure, atheist, christians with a small c, the self-hating, et al, have used Isaiah 2:4 to hogtie our country's defense for purposes ranging from redistribution among nations and 'peace', to America's outright defeat by anyone (Insert audio of Henny Youngman's "Take my wife...Please!!").
“ Come, and let us go up to the mountain of the LORD,
To the house of the God of Jacob;
He will teach us His ways,
And we shall walk in His paths.”
For out of Zion shall go forth the law,
And the word of the LORD from Jerusalem.
4 He shall judge between the nations,
And rebuke many people;
They shall beat their swords into plowshares,
And their spears into pruning hooks;
Nation shall not lift up sword against nation,
Neither shall they learn war anymore.
Et in saecula saeculorum. Amen.
But until then, until these same people go up to the mountain of the Lord and are taught His ways, until they walk in His paths, until they accept from Zion His law, and the word of the Lord from Jerusalem, until then I think we'll just ignore their pompous and America defeating plans. Do these things first, then you reap your reward of world peace.
At some time He will judge between nations based on the above, on good and evil; and He will rebuke many people (I wouldn't want to be around when He rebukes a nation), and only then, only after those nations that are left (unrebuked), only those who have been taught and accepted His law (probably doesn't include baby killing), only then will those nations that are left beat their swords into ploughshares.
