No surprise, here. 'Crowd' waiting for discount vouchers "get rowdy". They "became unruly". The O'voters "stormed the door' of the Atlanta Housing Authority, only to be handed an application for a voucher, not cold cash that they had expected O' to hand out.
The sign on the door read "No Section 8 vouchers are available at this time. There are no public housing units available at this time. You're applying for the waiting list only."
The Housing Choice Voucher Program, called Section 8, subsidized the rents of low-income families living in apartments and houses that are privately owned. The federal program makes up the difference in rent that the poor can afford and the fair market value for each area. How would you like these door stormers living next door to you? Ya think they'd invest in a lawn mower, fix a broken window, repair their porch, or even water their lawn? Only if O' paid for it out of his stash.
The federal government has specific standards for its subsidized properties but at the same time landlords are assured an income. Notice the word play..."an income", isn't the same as your full income if the O'tenant doesn't fork over her share of the rent. And damage to property, that is between you and your O'tenant. And with O' in charge, try getting the fam out of your house. This is why normal people discriminate against O'voters and don't want them in their neighborhoods. They simply don't have the morals and culture to live among us. As James Carville once said, "If you drag a hundred dollar bill through a trailer park, you never know what you'll find". At least the trailer parkers all live together and have the same approximate incomes based on lot rent. Not so when you subsidize an O'voters rent, which is why Algore lives where he lives and not around his former constituents.
