'Had you flipped through the New York Post on the subway ride to work on Tuesday, you might have stumbled upon a startling op-ed.' So begins another attempt at defending a politician who enables killing babies with his vote (wasn't that a song by Roberta Flack back in the early '70's?) and paying for it with public monies.
Obviously,
Mr. Benjamin (D, NY) is a very conflicted (and confused) person. You'll never sell anyone on being 'pro-life' while voting to abort babies, much less for free. This line is no different than the canard recited by liberal Catholic politicians the country over: being "
personally opposed to it" while enabling it. “I started scratching my head and wondering, ‘Did I enable that?" Ya buddy, you did. “God is the final judge and not me.” I'm certain Mr Benjamin is hoping "God is the final judge" of those aborting their babies, not of those that made it all possible. Fat chance.
