Impotent Obama

From a Navy Vietnam vet who spoke to some SEALS in Virginia Beach---

Having spoken to some SEAL pals here in Virginia Beach yesterday and asking why this thing dragged out for 4 days, I got the following:

1. BHO wouldn't authorize the DEVGRU/NSWC SEAL teams to the scene for 36 hours going against OSC (on scene commander) recommendation.

2. Once they arrived, BHO imposed restrictions on their ROE that they couldn't do *anything* unless the hostage's life was in "imminent" danger

3. The first time the hostage jumped, the SEALS had the Muslim terrorists all sighted in, but could not fire due to ROE restriction

4. When the navy RIB came under fire as it approached with supplies, no fire was returned due to ROE restrictions. As the raggies were shooting at the RIB, they were exposed and the SEALS had them all dialed in.

5. BHO specifically denied two rescue plans developed by the Bainbridge CPN and SEAL teams

6. Bainbridge CPN and SEAL team CDR finally decide they have the OpArea and OSC authority to solely determine risk to hostage. 4 hours later, 3 dead raggies.

7. BHO immediately claims credit for his "daring and decisive" behavior.  As usual with him, it's BS.

So per our last email thread, I'm downgrading Oohbaby's performance to D-.  Only reason it's not an F is that the hostage survived.

Read the following accurate account:

Philips' first leap into the warm, dark water of the Indian Ocean hadn't worked out as well. With the Bainbridge in range and a rescue by his country's Navy possible, Philips threw himself off of his lifeboat prison, enabling Navy shooters onboard the destroyer a clear shot at his captors — and none was taken.

The guidance from National Command Authority — the president of the United States, Barack Obama — had been clear: a peaceful solution was the only acceptable outcome to this standoff unless the hostage's life was in clear, extreme danger.

The next day, a small Navy boat approaching the floating raft was fired on by the Somali pirates — and again no fire was returned and no pirates killed. This was again due to the cautious stance assumed by Navy personnel thanks to the combination of a lack of clear guidance from Washington and a mandate from the commander in chief's staff not to act until Obama, a man with no background of dealing with such issues and no track record of decisiveness, decided that any outcome other than a "peaceful solution" would be acceptable. After taking fire from the Somali kidnappers again Saturday night, the on scene commander decided he'd had enough.  Keeping his authority to act in the case of a clear and present danger to the hostage's life and having heard nothing from Washington since yet another request to mount a rescue operation had been denied the day before, the Navy officer — unnamed in all media reports to date — decided the AK47 one captor had leveled at Philips' back was a threat to the hostage's life and ordered the NSWC team to take their shots.  Three rounds downrange later, all three brigands became enemy KIA and Philips was safe.

There is upside, downside, and spinside to the series of events over the last week that culminated in yesterday's dramatic rescue of an American hostage.  Almost immediately following word of the rescue, the Obama administration and its supporters claimed victory against pirates in the Indian Ocean and declared that the dramatic end to the standoff put paid to questions of the inexperienced president's toughness and decisiveness.

Despite the Obama administration's (and its sycophants') attempt to spin yesterday's success as a result of bold, decisive leadership by the inexperienced president, the reality is nothing of the sort.  What should have been a standoff lasting only hours — as long as it took the USS Bainbridge and its team of NSWC operators to steam to the location — became an embarrassing four day and counting standoff between a ragtag handful of criminals with rifles and a U.S. Navy warship.

The next O.J. or Mumia?

Either way, America loses.  Select a black jury to find this guilty kidnapping filth innocent and the Obama administration wins.  Find him  guilty and pants wetters Ed Asner and Mike Ferrell beat the drum of innocence in the face of American racial prejudice, regardless of jury makeup.  Mumia abu Jamal is commencement speaker, book seller and radio talk show host because of his cop killing status to morally emaciated sallow liberals.  At the end of Obama's term(s), He pardons the filth with eloquent reason, wetting the panties of Asner and Ferrell, et al.

Choose a side, Cecilia Prinster

'University of Notre Dame alumni and financial supporters on Thursday launched an online campaign to withhold donations to the Catholic school until the Rev. John Jenkins is replaced as president.'

Cecilia Prinster, president of the Notre Dame Alumni Association is on record in a column published in the campus newspaper stating her ambivalence between aborting babies and promoting Central American liberation theology.  "Obama's policies in areas such as health care reform, economic security and environmental stewardship are in line with Catholic social teaching.  Although we disagree with Mr. Obama on some core issues, we must not condemn."

Evidently, other alumni see it different.  Preventing the slaughter of babies like they were birds in a cockfight has a higher calling than saving the snail darter.

Teabagging for liberals

CNN's Susan Roesgen, Rachel Maddow, Keith Olbermann, and Anderson Cooper all got a good giggle out of renaming the Tea Parties as Teabagging.  Maudie didn't catch on until it became apparent that it was a liberal groupspeak.  On Cooper's show, even the stodgy David Gergan got a good giggle when Cooper said it was hard to speak when teabagging.  That's when Maudie looked it up.

As it's defined, teabagging is egalitarian in that heteros and homos can engage in the activity.  Lesbians are left out but Roesgen and Maddow, with seemingly personal giggling knowledge obviously have had the experience as part of their enlightenment.  It may be that Olbermann and Cooper allowed Gergan to watch.

Teabagging, fisting, pounding sand, these are all words liberals giggle at.  Did these five giggle when reading in 6th grade about the Boston Tea Party?  What would the 'indians' response be to these gigglers back in 1773 if someone had called them teabaggers?

Obama requests an additional $199.95 for sniper training

http://www.frontpagemag.com/Articles/Read.aspx?GUID=B9A4BCB3-7322-4A0A-AE8B-49E60EDCC461

I usually shoot an email off to these conservative pundits or whatever they happen to be, derisively chiding them (in a humorous way) if I happen to disagree with a point they're making.  About half respond (derisively) and I let it go at that.  I had nothing better to do, and this guy responded while I was burning some cd's, so we went tete-a-tete until I lost interest.  Frontpagemag.com is a great conservative website but it's imperative someone keep them on track.

Here are the emails.  You can read Jacob's article above.

Maudie's response to Jacob's article:  Quote "(T)he president showed that he will not hesitate to use force when necessary to safeguard American lives."  To use that standard, even Jimmy Carter passed.  No one was in imminent danger, per se, they were just hostages.  Ditto the captain.  I wonder what Obama would have done if the pirates had laid their guns down (at the ready) and had never 'pointed' one at him.  Would this have gone on for 444 days?  Let's be clear, the authorization was never to rescue him, rather to use deadly force only if in imminent danger, in other words tied to a post, provided a last cigarette, then blindfolded.  Provide an example of when "Secretary of State Clinton’s demand(s) for forceful action" meant anything?  Letting your hostage languish is not "boldness" if you can take out the pirates, but that was not the authorization.  Entebbe was boldness.  It seems the Navy commander or the Seals showed boldness in  devising a plan to circumvent the lack of will shown by Obama to rescue the hostage by using deadly force when the occasion arose.  "Imminent danger, Commander!"  Blam, blam, blam.  (Wink wink)  Let's not get silly trying to look bipartisan.

Jacob responding:  Thanks for your note, but I disagree. Had the operation been bungled, Obama would have been left with the blame, and rightly so. The corollary is that deserves credit for its success. Fair is fair, and bipartisanship has nothing to do with it. JL

Maudie's response:  "As Commander in Chief, I gave authorization to military commanders on site to use deadly force only if the Captain's life was in imminent danger.  It was so determined and a Navy Seal team fired upon the pirates.  Needless to say, they missed their targets and the Captain was executed.  Michelle and I are praying for the Phillip's family.  I still believe the Seals are one of America's elite fighting forces, and have requested an additional $199.95 from congress for additional sniper training."

I'm not sure who would have blamed Obama for missing their targets.

You're a good man, Jacob Laksin

Jacob getting ticked:  "I'm not sure who would have blamed Obama for missing their targets?"

That’s an easy one. The same people who seem inexplicably outraged by the mildest credit to the president of the United States. I could be more specific, but I trust you get the general idea.

Maudie:  Outraged?  I think you're losing the argument, Keith.  (This was a reference to Keith Olberman.  I don't know if Jacob got it, but I got a good laugh.)

Jacob, the best he could do:  Oh boy. Back to the fever swamps you go.

Maudie, becoming bored:  Jacob, Come on.  You have to admit, $199.95 is pretty funny; far from Outraged!!  Love ya, Maudie
ps:  I can't keep this up.  I've got Rush and Hannity on the other line.

the authorization was not to rescue him

"(T)he president showed that he will not hesitate to use force when necessary to safeguard American lives."  So writes Jacob Laksin of Frontpagemag.com.  To use that standard, even Jimmy Carter passed.  During the Iran hostage crisis, no one was in imminent danger, per se, they were just hostages.  Ditto Captain Phillips.

What would Obama have done if the pirates had laid their guns down (at the ready) and never 'pointed' one at him.  Would this have gone on for 444 days?  The Navy was quick to point out that one of the Seals saw one of the teenagers point his gun toward Phillips.

Let's be clear, the authorization was never to rescue him, rather to use deadly force only if Phillips' life was in imminent danger, in other words tied to a post, provided a last cigarette, then blindfolded.  Laksin is also impressed "Beginning with Secretary of State Clinton’s demand for forceful action to “end the scourge of piracy".  Would that Jacob have provided an example of when "Secretary of State Clinton’s demand(s) for forceful action" meant anything?  Letting the hostage languish is not "boldness" if you can take out the pirates, but that was not the authorization.

Loven Lovin' Obama

A.P./Townhall's Jennifer Loven remains infatuated with Obama.  She writes, 'President Barack Obama's "no drama" handling of the Indian Ocean hostage crisis proved a big win for his administration.'  What is the "drama" they could have infused without looking silly, having press secretary Robert Gibbs in pirate garb jousting with 'Peter Pan' Rahm Emmanuel?

Obama authorized the Navy to take necessary action if Capt. Richard Phillips' life was in imminent danger.  In other words, being kidnapped isn't good enough for a rescue, especially when poor black muslim community organizers are on the other end of the gun.

What is this "if" his life is in imminent danger, anyway? Could the pirates have washed up on shore weeks later (surely they would have been allowed food and water, and probably Korans and Playboys) and still been allowed their hostage if say, he had been in chains, incapable of escape, ergo no need for gun pointing, ergo, no imminent danger?

Showing her stripes, Loven writes '(T)his crisis, while topping the news now, may fade into distant memory by the time voters get a chance to take any new measure of Obama and his party.'  What, will we have the Congressional Black Caucus taking credit for the rescue?  More likely, they'll junket over to Somalia or other dirt bag African country to meet with the families of the 'murdered' community organizers.

Townhall's Loven continues, 'But it also showed a new commander in chief who was willing to use all the tools at his disposal, bringing in federal law enforcement officials to handle the judicial elements of the crisis.'

As of 4/13/09, Eric Holder is saying he "may" bring charges against the fourth pirate. "May"?  What are or were the judicial elements of the crisis, anyway?  This is Jennifer Loven/Townhall’s verile response to acts of piracy?  Blam, blam, blam!  Now that's judicial!
After a quick panty change, Loven writes, 'The sniper operation Sunday, with pirate guns aimed at Phillips, was a daring, high-stakes gambit.'  Taking action only if in imminent danger (whatever that means) cannont be declared a daring, high-stakes gambit.  Imminent danger means, well, imminent!  What was the alternative, imminent negotiation?

Loven gushes, 'He didn't call in his Cabinet for a high-profile command meeting.'  Whoop-de-do.  So the military didn’t have the benefit of Joe Biden’s input?  Kathleen Sebelius, Hilda L. Solis, Ken Salazar, et.al.?  How did the Seals pull it off alone?

'He weighed in with two critical decisions allowing the military to take action to save Phillips' life.'  Not to rescue him, mind you, only to save his life.  If the pirates had behaved in a civilized manner (white Anglo-Saxon, thankyou very much), there’s no telling how long they could have kept him.

'White House officials said the Justice Department is already reviewing evidence to determine whether to file criminal charges against the captured Somali pirate.'  Wow!  Already?

Or what, let him go??

Townhall’s Loven ends with this groupspeak that is sure to keep her in the front row at WH press conferences: 'it's notable that in an administration that has virtually banned the phrase "war on terror," no one called the pirates "terrorists."  Yes, no one called the smelly community organizing black muslim pirates...terrorists.  But we were watching, weren't we, Jennifer?

Michelle Malkin said it best about Loven on 10/27/2008: 'Jennifer Loven of the Associated Press/Townhall isn’t just in the tank for Obama. She’s drowning in her drool cup.'

O.J. jury awards millions to pirate families

Sharpshooters firing from the fantail of a U.S. Navy destroyer killed three pirates (Will the International Court hold these Navy Seals responsible for the murder of those three poor black Muslim community organizers?).

Ginsburg Shares Views on Influence of Foreign Law on Her Court, and Vice Versa  (Will the International Court decide the Almighty USA killed three poor black Muslim freedom fighters?).

'President Obama twice authorized the military to rescue a U.S. captain held by Somali pirates and whose life appeared to be at risk.'  The 'and' is an overlooked conjunction by Obama cheerleaders and even some conservatives looking for a tip o' the hat to reference over the next four years.  Cutting to the chase, If the poor black muslim community organizers aren't threatening their hostage (are you following the logic?) no rescue is authorized.  Navy Seals will be held accountable by the Obama-Holder Justice system for racism, profiling, and swaggering if they attempt any rescue unless the captain's life appears to be at risk.

So it was the Navy Seals, true to orders, that saw a movement, a motion, a look, a wink and a nod from one of the poor black muslim community organizer's, with imminent life threatening stuff toward the captain, and BLAM, BLAM, BLAM.  Three black muslim community organizers DOA.

Michelle O:  "You dumb, half-assed white boy!  Appeared to be at risk?  You couldn't be more specific?  Appeared?  Those white military swimming assassins just took out three 2012 Chicago voters.  Appeared!!?"

Saddleback Sunday Show!

Do people go to Saddleback for the message or the charismatic messenger?  I'll bet Rick stays away from marriage sermons for awhile and the man-woman thingy with more "Love your neighbor and stop global warming" sermons.  Look for more touchy feely hand swaying and even better guitar music...Wow!!

Obama sends Captain Phillips a message

"Hey pal, you're on your own.  These are My oppressed Muslims who only want to help Me redistribute your wealth, you white Christian racist."

Why didn't we have anything in place to blow this boat out of the water the minute this brave man gave us the fricking opportunity to do so?  What pray tell was our Glorious Leader doing?  Shame, shame.

'Defense Department officials say the American boat captain held by Somali pirates tried to escape but was recaptured. Captain Richard Phillips jumped over the side of the small lifeboat where he has been held for two days and began swimming.

Officials, speaking on condition of anonymity because they are not authorized to talk about unfolding operations (like if he attempts an escape, blow the frinkin' row boat out of the water?), say Phillips was retaken by the pirates after he jumped from the boat around midnight local time in open ocean off the Somali coast.

A U.S. Navy ship patrolling nearby (what is it there for, news updates???) was able to see Phillips moving around and talking after his return to the pirate's boat.'

The defense officials think he is unharmed.'

Glorious Leader with His Squealer awaiting next update from U.S. Navy news team.

Kipling's Dane-Geld and Obama's pirates

Which Muslim country will receive Obama's largesse for negotiating the release of the ship's captain?

It is always a temptation to an armed and agile nation
To call upon a neighbor and to say:—
“We invaded you last night—we are quite prepared to fight,
Unless you pay us cash to go away.”

And that is called asking for Dane-geld,
And the people who ask it explain
That you’ve only to pay ’em the Dane-geld
And then you’ll get rid of the Dane!

It is wrong to put temptation in the path of any nation,
For fear they should succumb and go astray;
So when you are requested to pay up or be molested,
You will find it better policy to say:—

“We never pay any-one Dane-geld,
No matter how trifling the cost;
For the end of that game is oppression and shame,
And the nation that plays it is lost!”

You're an embarrassment, Cecilia Prinster

'Cecilia Prinster, president of the Notre Dame Alumni Association, noted in a column also published in the campus newspaper that Obama's policies in areas such as health care reform, economic security and environmental stewardship are in line with Catholic social teaching.'
"Although we disagree with Mr. Obama on some core issues, we must not condemn," Prinster wrote.
Yes Cecilia, let us not condemn abortion.  Afterall, the good German people had their rationale for voting in 1933.  What's six million Jews or another 50 million babies when we can get Cuban health care, redistribute wealth ala Marx, and fix God's global warming mistakes.  Hey, and maybe He'll even shake your hand!

You're an embarrassment, Cecilia.

Pirates? Guys, we're talking housing right now

Obama Refuses to Answer Any Questions About Tanker Piracy

'At the close of the White House event, the president was asked by a reporter if he was concerned about the piracy incident.  Obama responded: "Guys, we're talking about housing right now."  Reporters were then ushered out of the room.'

An hour after our brave and determined President refused even a teleprompter response, a State Dept. sans Comrade Clinton spokesman mentioned a U.N. Security Council resolution that “authorizes countries to do what they can to suppress piracy."  He added "we're trying to see what we can do" and will "try to do what we can."  (T)his is going to take time.  (This) hijacking shows the importance of working with all of our (effeminated) partners."  He also talked about “some mechanisms in place” and the effort “to try to develop other mechanisms to deal with the question.  We’ve been trying to provide support but this is a question for the entire (effeminated) international community to deal with..."

In other words, Our brave and determined leader Obama (ET VERBUM CARO FACTUM EST)  is not going alone on this one.  There's four pirates out there!

Snub the Pope, you lose. Snub the Church, eh, no biggy.

If Archbishop Marcel LeFevre is excommunicated for consecrating four bishops, what is the result when those who actively promote killing innocent life partake of Communion?  (insert crickets chirping).

There is a fundamental rule in the modern Catholic Church and has been for several centuries that no bishop anywhere may be appointed or consecrated without the express mandate of the Holy See, ergo LeFevre's excommunication.  It would seem any of God's 10 Commandments should be feared at least a smidgeon more than a fundamental rule and respected with due resolve when sinners side with the devil.  However, from priests to Bishops to the Pope, an 'in your face' administering of the Host, as well as the contemptuous receiving by abortion enabling Democrat 'Catholic' politicians, is viewed more as an opportunity to dialogue.  Indeed, Pope John Jenkins of Notre Dame defended his invitation to our Abortion President, by stating it was not to honor Him, "but rather can be used as a catalyst for dialogue."

Isn't it qqueer (why is qqueer a forbidden word with Townhall.com) that LeFevre is excommunicated 21 years after Vatican II, ending "a catalyst for dialogue", yet 36 years after Roe v Wade, priests and Bishops continue to ignore the Papal plea (and that's all it is, which is the problem) not to administer the Holy Eucharist to Democrat politicians who enable the bloody abortion with their votes on the floor, or with their vote to keep the bill off the floor so they don't have to vote on it, ala Mary Landrieu of Louisiana, or simply by being a part of the Democrat Party, ala Bob Casey of Ohio, thereby enabling Democrat control of the Senate with its rabid anti-life agenda.

Scripture specifies the prohibition contained in the fifth commandment: "Do not slay the innocent and the righteous."61  Which do you suppose God considers the bigger sin, enabling abortion or consecrating four bishops?  Our bet is LeFevre is in Heaven.
